Through literature collection and on-site investigation,it explicates the five-stage development process of Jiaxing Silk Knitting Joint Factory,and analyzes the general situation of the factory environment and the existing self-reeling workshop as a typical case of regional silk-making industral building heritage.Based on the summaries of basic characteristics of self-reeling buildings in plane layouts,span and building storeys,and setting of"physical environment adjustment space",it analyzes the functional suitability and rational characteristics of structural systems of self-reeling workshop of Jiaxing Silk Knitting Joint Factory.Accordingly,it expounds the value cognition of self-reeling workshop and three models of conservation and activated utilization.
