Nowadays,traditional Dai houses in Xishuangbanna are gradually losing their original traditional architectural style and ethnic style,and many variable and strange new Dai houses are appearing.The self-evolution of traditional residential space is broken,and traditional architectural culture is forced to decline and disappear.The paper traces the roots of Dai traditional houses,and through a comparative analysis of traditional and new Dai houses in Xishuangbanna.It draws out variable and invariable factors,summarizes the reasons that influence the generation of variable factors,and thus generates thoughts on the future development of Dai houses.
