In the context of urban regeneration,a new urbanization road of promoting urbanization with county town as an important carrier was been proposed.Solving the existing problems of small-medium cities is the focus of future urban construction.Park optimization will become an important breach in improving the environment and promoting the high-quality city development.Based on the Park City Theory,this paper attempts to build a park system with systematic structure,compound function,humanized design and conducted management.Taking the optimization of parks in the central urban area of Zhangjiagang as an example,based on the existing problems in the current parks,it is proposed to build a complex park system,layout a highly accessible park network,design humanized urban parks,and form an implementation oriented management and control system.By exploring the practical application of park city theory in local areas,it is expected to provide an operable technical path for the optimization of parks in the central urban areas of counties nationwide.
