A Brief Analysis of the Eave Arch Construction Methods of Halls in Song,Liao and Jin Dynasties
During the Song,Liao and Jin Dynasties,the rapid development of handicrafts and commerce and the more frequent exchanges between the north and the south gave birth to a brilliant architectural culture.In order to explore the building process and construction characteristics of wooden buildings in Song,Liao and Jin Dynasties at a deeper level,this paper takes the eave arch as a clue to the investigation and study of the existing Song,Liao and Jin Dynasties halls,mainly targeting the Liao Dynasty architecture of the Dule Temple's gate,the Song Dynasty architecture of the Shaolin Temple's Chuzhu Nunnery as well as the modern architecture of the Jin Temple's dedication hall,and the construction of the eave arch of these buildings is dismantled and analyzed for the comparison and contrast.Summarize the transformation trend of the building construction method in this period,and provide theoretical basis for the repair and restoration of the same type of buildings in the same period.
