This paper selects traditional culture of Guangzhou as the design concept and conducts a case analysis of the first prize work"Flower City Box"in the Guangzhou Volunteer Station Upgrading and Renovation Design Competition. The"Flower City Box"is a volunteer service space that combines Guangzhou's tradition with a sense of future. Its design concept, combined with the traditional floral window decoration concept in Guangzhou,is interpreted as a design element of the"Flower City Box",creating a distinct regional cultural atmosphere. The design adopts the technique of"Tanglong Gate"to achieve elastic expansion of space, forming four different usage states and adapting to different scales of the street. The spatial structure of the cube enhances the sense of spatial closure and can be fully opened, creating a spacious feeling of indoor and outdoor integration. This paper analyzes the design work from the perspectives of spatial design concepts, technical techniques, functional layout, and spatial experience.Through a case study of the"Flower City Box",explore the possibility of integrating regional culture into modern community service facilities and endowing them with a brand new spatial experience.
