Shaping Resilient Cities:A Study from the Perspective of Synergetic Agglomeration of Manufacturing Industry and Productive Service Industry
How to build resilient cities is an important challenge in the process of achieving high-quality development.Based on panel data from 273 cities between 2006 and 2018,this paper measures the resilience levels of cities from three dimensions:economic, social, and cultural.Using a fixed-effects model, the study also analyzes the effects of industrial agglomeration on the resilience of cities. The results show that industrial agglomeration can significantly improve city resilience, and this conclusion remains robust after replacing indicators and adding control variables.Regional heterogeneity analysis shows that industrial synergy agglomeration only has a significant impact on the resilience of cities in the eastern and central regions. The research findings provide a theoretical basis and policy tools for how to shape resilient cities.
