Research on the Renovation,Protection and Development Strategies of Narrative Buildings in Tianjin Historical and Cultural District
Tianjin is a famous historical and cultural city in China.After the Yuan Dynasty,it served as a transportation and commercial center for a long time,thus retaining a large number of classical Chinese commercial buildings.In the modern history of the Republic of China,during the period when Tianjin was a concession,due to the aesthetic influence of Western architecture,some Chinese style commercial buildings and courtyard buildings were renovated and updated to Western style commercial areas,churches,etc.These architectural narrators are important historical materials for the renewal of Chinese architecture,including warlord politics,the Industrial Salvation Movement,and the spread of Western learning to the East.This study takes the ancient cultural street and the Five Avenue Historical and Cultural Block in Tianjin as examples to analyze the narrative updates of the two buildings,and analyzes the optimization measures for the protection and development of historical and cultural blocks from the perspective of narrative characteristics.I hope this study can provide reference for the protection and development of historical and cultural buildings in major cities.
