Research on the Digital Application of Architectural Cultural Heritage based on the Integration of New Surveying and Mapping Technology and BIM
Traditional data collection methods mainly use hand-drawn drawings, texts, photos, audio and video recordings, which are highly subjective, inefficient and have a large error range. With the continuous development of surveying and mapping technologies such as three-dimensional laser scanning, photogrammetry, and drone aerial photography, multiple links have been provided for digital information collection for architectural heritage protection. The results can no longer be drawn by using CAD to two-dimensional graphics, but can be integrated with the BIM platform to establish digital and information-based models. This is not only more efficient and intuitive, but also can establish preventive protection measures and accomplish the full life cycle of historical buildings for management, the model can be combined with VR technology to achieve virtual reconstruction and three-dimensional real-scene roaming, providing the public with a more realistic and immersive way to perceive architectural heritage.
