An Analysis of the Decoration of the Central Hall in the Chongdetang Residential Buildings in Southern Fujian during the Qing Dynasty
Traditional architecture pays attention to decoration and has obvious regional characteristics in the southeast region of Fujian.The middle hall is a ceremonial space for the family,emphasizing the cultural tradition of respecting ancestors and heaven.This paper selects Chongde Hall as a case,analyzes the logic and connotation of architectural decoration,interprets the combination of middle hall decoration and architectural structure,and discusses the spiritual connotation of architectural decoration in terms of spatial sequence,morphological characteristics,material skills,detailed decoration,theme content,etc.,in order to provide reference for other architectural decoration.
