Study on Modern Urban Structure Based on Space Syntax and Urban History:A Case Study of the Nihonbashi Area in Edo-Tokyo
"Nihonbashi"Area is renowned as the historical commercial center and bustling street of the commoners in Edo-Tokyo,has profoundly influenced the modern spatial form of Tokyo's downtown.In recent years,due to urban renewal,attention has been refocused on this area.This study,grounded in urban history and combined with Space Syntax Analysis,specifically delves into the urban construction evolution of Nihonbashi during Japan's modern era(1868-1945).The findings reveal a distinctive spatial evolution characterized by external dissolution,reorganization,and regeneration.This research offers a fresh perspective for the quantitative study of urban history of East Asia and serves as a significant reference for a deeper understanding of Japan's urban spatial progression.
