Study on the Spatial Distribution Characteristics of Elderly Care Institutions in Deeply Aging Cities
Analyzing the spatial distribution of urban elderly care institutions can help promote the rational layout of elderly care and related industries,as well as provide a reference for a sound urban elderly care system in western China.This paper takes Mianyang urban area as the research area,the spatial distribution characteristics of Mianyang urban area's elderly care institutions are studied by using kernel density analysis,spatial accessibility and spatial mismatch index.The results show that:(1)Mianyang urban area has a dense distribution pattern of elderly institutions in the central city and a sparse distribution pattern in the suburbs,and there are large differences in the configuration of elderly institutions in different streets/townships.(2)The spatial accessibility distribution of elderly care institutions in Mianyang urban area is uneven,and the continuity between streets/townships is poor.(3)The degree of matching of the spatial distribution of elderly care institutions in Mianyang urban area is a low mismatch area,proving that the resources allocated to elderly care services are more compatible with the actual situation.
