Research on the Distribution Characteristics and Influencing Factors of Industrial Heritage in Northwest China
Industrial heritage can reflect the development and changes of society, and studying its distribution characteristics is crucial for heritage protection. The northwest region, with its unique natural features and complex historical background, has formed a completely different development trajectory from the eastern region. This paper selects 29 industrial heritage sites in the northwest region as research objects, uses geographic information systems(GIS)for data visualization processing, analyzes their temporal and spatial distribution characteristics, and explores the factors that affect distribution characteristics. The results indicate that in terms of time distribution, modern industrial heritage occupies a dominant position in the northwest region, showing a large time span and witnessing the transformation of the region from traditional agriculture to modern industry. In terms of industry types, mining and manufacturing are the main industries, and the distribution of heritage areas of different types is uneven. In terms of regional distribution, the industrial heritage in the northwest region exhibits uneven characteristics, mainly centered around the two core areas of economic development:the Guanzhong Plain Urban Agglomeration and the Lanxi Urban Agglomeration.
