Culture is the intrinsic power of the city's rough development to connotative growth.Historic urban areas are the cultural roots of the city,containing rich historical and cultural values,and in the context of the cultural revitalization strategy,the protection and cultural inheritance of historic urban areas are of great significance.Based on the theory of meme,the paper takes Lanzhou Historical Urban Area as the research object,identifies and extracts the memes of Lanzhou Historical Urban Area,establishes the information chain and map of memes,analyzes the problems of the current situation of memes,and proposes the inheritance and development strategy of memes in Lanzhou Historical Urban Area.
