Study of Picturesque Scenery in Oriental Classical Gardens:Taking Lvyin Pavilion of Liuyuan Garden and Yuejian Terrace of Guili Imperial Villa as Examples
In response to the long-discussed relationship between gardens and paintings,this paper takes painting as an entry point,compares the Suzhou Liuyuan Garden with the classic"Mountains Across the Water"scene in the Guili Imperial Villa in Japan,and analyzes the commonalities between the gardens presented in the eyes of the viewer and traditional Chinese landscape paintings and their methods of creation.In order to explore the common pictorial meaning of classical oriental gardens and their different methods of garden-painting interaction,it provides an interesting addition to the reading of gardens.
