Sculpture is the most important art category for Michelangelo,affecting his creation in painting,architecture and other fields.This paper introduces the involvement of sculpture in its architectural design from three levels,and expounds the reasons for the formation of Michelangelo's"alternative"architectural style in the Renaissance.
