Taizhou Gaogang Carved Building is one of the few ancient buildings in Jiangsu and Zhejiang that is known for its woodcarving decoration.It is slightly inferior to the two carved buildings in Dongshan and Xishan,Suzhou.This paper is based on the research from the perspective of woodcarving decoration.It analyzes the three aspects of the formation background of the building,the decorative language of woodcarving,and the reasons for the formation of culture.It makes a general summary of the woodcarving decoration of the building,in order to explore the inheritance of architectural decoration and woodcarving culture in Jiangsu and Zhejiang,and promote the excellent Chinese decorative culture.
