Abstract
The paper analyzes the current state of ideological and political education in architecture and urban planning courses,using the Principles of Residential Area Planning course as a case study.It explores methods for extracting ideological and political education elements and specific implementation paths.Through educational reform,the course has significantly enhanced the integration and impact of ideological and political education with professional knowledge,improving students'professional qualities and social responsibility,ultimately achieving the comprehensive goal of knowledge transmission,value shaping,and capability development.
