Research on the Spatial Distribution and Influencing Factors of Rural Settlements along the White Defile Ancient Road
White Defile Ancient Road has a long history and is the third of the eight scenic spots in Taihang Mountains.It not only undertakes functions such as military defense and economic prosperity,but also serves as a key cultural link.The area along the road has historically formed many rural settlements,which have important research value.Through the ArcGIS 10.6 platform,the spatial distribution characteristics of rural settlements along the White Defile Ancient Road were analyzed.It was concluded that rural settlements along the White Defile Ancient Road are clustered and mainly influenced by environmental factors such as topography,slope,rivers,and transportation.Exploring the distribution characteristics of space of rural settlements along the White Defile Ancient Road is of great practical significance for formulating development plans for rural areas,allocating facilities and resources,and optimizing the spatial layout of settlements.
