Research on the Impact of Digital Economy Development on New Urbanization Construction in the Context of Common Prosperity:Taking Prefecture-level Cities in Zhejiang Province as Examples
New urbanization is an inevitable requirement and development direction for future urban construction,and the digital economy has injected strong momentum into China's economy.Based on the panel data of 11 prefecture-level cities in Zhejiang Province from 2010 to 2020,this paper empirically examines the impact of the digital economy on the construction of new urbanization.The results show that the digital economy significantly promotes the construction of new urbanization.This conclusion remains robust after gradually adding control variables,excluding outliers,and retaining policy years.The analysis of the impact mechanism indicates that narrowing the urban-rural gap and achieving industrial upgrading are important mechanisms for the digital economy to empower the construction of new urbanization.The research conclusions of the paper provide a theoretical basis and policy handle for how to carry out the construction of new urbanization.
