How to effectively promote the sponge renovation of old communities has become a key and difficult point that needs to be overcome urgently during the period of simultaneous addition and preservation.Based on the practical experience of sponge renovation of old communities in Wenzhou City,the paper analyzed the main problems existing in the construction of sponge cities in old communities,and explored sponge renovation methods and countermeasures suitable for old communities in non-pilot demonstration cities from the two aspects of engineering technology and policy mechanisms,and continuously accumulated experience for the construction of sponge cities in China.
