A Preliminary Discussion on the Renewal of High-Rise Buildings from the 1990s:Taking the Renewal of Nanjing Yangtze Building as an Example
The 1990s was a period of rapid development for high-rise buildings in China.As time goes by,these buildings generally face the issues of outdated functions and outdated appearances,making overall renovation and upgrading an urgent and widespread demand.This paper takes the renewal project of Nanjing Yangtze Building as a case study to explore the complexity and contradictions in the renewal of existing high-rise buildings,and analyzes the difficulties and innovative points in practice,with the aim of providing ideas and experience for the renewal of old high-rise buildings.
