Research on the Application of Urban Catalyst Theory in the Protection and Renewal of Historical and Cultural Districts:Taking Taozhu Ancient City as an Example
The paper uses Taozhu Ancient City as a case study to explore protection and renewal strategies through the lens of Urban Catalytic Theory.By identifying,activating,and guiding catalytic elements,it proposes a renewal plan that includes the restoration of historical buildings,optimization of block layouts,and preservation of traditional crafts and folk activities.Combining both material and non-material elements,the study aims to preserve the ancient city's historical character while achieving modernization and sustainable use.This study offers fresh insights and practical strategies for safeguarding historical and cultural districts,playing a crucial role in advancing tourism and preserving cultural heritage in ancient cities.
