The aging of a large number of structures in urban renewal poses safety hazards,and the functional flow line is difficult to meet the needs of modern life.The renewal of existing buildings has become a major challenge for urban development.The paper takes Dayanggou in the southeast corner of Nanjing Historical and Cultural Protection Area as an example,based on the Three Plains Reconstruction Policy,with the soul of preserved design,refined design as the foundation,and diversified design as the approach,exploring renewal and transformation strategies that can continue to carry the local cultural spirit and common memory,and providing experience and reference for this type of renewal and transformation.
