As the largest existing Confucian temple building in southeast China,the Confucian Temple in Quanzhou,Fujian Province is rooted in the soil of southern Fujian and shows unique regional characteristics.Based on the perspective of Confucianism,this paper analyzes the architectural form,spatial layout and decorative patterns of the Quanzhou Confucian Temple by combining the core concepts of hierarchy,ritual etiquette and ethical symbolism in the ritual culture,and explores how the ritual culture affects the architectural construction of the Quanzhou Confucian Temple.
