Research on the Art of Shop Display in the Song Dynasty:Taking Riverside Scene at Qingming Festival as an Example
The urban economy of the Song Dynasty played a significant role in the growth and success of shops.The evolution of furniture designs led to a new style of display art,which laid the groundwork for the fundamental characteristics of Chinese display culture.This paper specifically examines the display of shops in Zhang Zeduan's Riverside Scene at Qingming Festival.Using image analysis,it identifies the symmetrical,orderly,and asymmetrical forms and attributes of shop displays during the Northern Song Dynasty.Additionally,it delves into the aesthetic features portrayed in the art of shop display during the Song Dynasty,with the aim of enhancing the scholarly exploration of display art during this period.
