Objective To investigate the expression and their relationship with clinical pathological features of β-1,3-galactosyl-transferase-1(B3GALT1)and β-1,3-galactosyltransferase-2(B3GALT2)in breast cancer, and analyze their related signaling path-ways.Methods The expressions of B3GALT1 and B3GALT2 in breast cancer and adjacent normal tissues were detected by Western Blot and immunohistochemical methods in 132 cases of breast cancer and adjacent tissues, and their clinical significance was analyzed. The related pathways were explored by gene set enrichment analysis. Results The expressions of B3GALT1 and B3GALT2 in breast cancer tissues were lower than those in adjacent normal tissues(P<0.05),and the expressions of the two were positively correlated(r= 0.635,P<0.001),and the differences in T stage and Ki-67 between positive and negative patients were statistically significant(P<0.05).Both B3GALT1 and B3GALT2 are enriched in JAK-STAT pathway and Notch pathway. Conclusion B3GALT1 and B3GALT2 are significantly downregulated in breast cancer and closely related to the proliferation and growth of breast cancer.
