Effects of Trimetazidine on Cardiac Function and Heart Rate Variability in Elderly Patients with Chronic Heart Failure
Objective To investigate the effects of trimetazidine on heart function and heart rate variability in elderly patients with chronic heart failure(CHF).Methods A total of 310 patients with chronic heart failure admitted to Kaifeng People's Hospital from June 2021 to June 2022 were included in the study, and 6 patients dropped out during follow-up.A total of 304 patients were re-corded and randomly divided into two groups(trimetazidine group and conventional group),with 152 cases in each group. The con-ventional group received standard anti-heart failure treatment, while the trimetazidine group received combined treatment with trimetaz-idine in the conventional group for a duration of 3 months. The efficacy, heart rate,6-minute walking distance, heart function index and heart rate variability index were compared between the two groups;the occurrence of adverse drug reactions was recorded. Results The therapeutic effect of the combination group was higher than that of the conventional group(P<0.05);after treatment, there was no significant difference in HR levels between the two groups(P>0.05),and the 6-minute walking distance was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05);the left ventricular ejection fraction in the combination group was higher than that in the control group, and the left ventricular end diastolic diameter and systolic diameter were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05);the stand-ard deviation and average standard deviation of RR interval in the combined group were higher than those in the conventional group(P<0.05);there was no significant difference in adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion Trimetazidine can improve heart function, and increase heart rate variability levels in elderly patients with chronic heart failure.
