Comparison of Laparoscopic Lichtenstein and Tension-free Herniaoplasty
Objective To analyze the safety and feasibility of Lichtenstein herniaoplasty. Methods A total of 50 patients diagnosed as inguinal hernia undergoing inguinal herniaoplasty in Dongtai People's Hospital from May 2020 to December 2023 were collected, including 20 patients who underwent laparoscopic Ligenstein herniaoplasty(referred to as the"laparoscopic group")and 30 patients who underwent open tension-free herniaoplasty(referred to as the"traditional group").Operation time, postoperative hospital stay, international visual analogy score of postoperative pain, postoperative changes of white blood cells(WBC)and C-reactive protein(CRP),and postoperative complications were compared between the two groups. Results All patients successfully completed inguinal herniaoplasty.Compared with the traditional laparotomy group, the laparoscopic group could significantly shorten the length of postoperative hospital stay(P<0.05),lower the international visual analogy score of postoperative pain(P<0.05)and the WBC and CRP decreased significantly after operation compared with traditional group(P<0.05).There was no statistical significance in operation time and incidence of postoperative complications in the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion Based on the limited case data of this group,it is preliminarily concluded that laparoscopic Ligkinstein herniaoplasty is safe, effective and has good cosmetic effect.
