Expression of BRCA1 and Ki67 in Breast Cancer and Correlation with Ultrasonographic Symptoms
Objective To explore the expression of BRCA1 and Ki67 in different molecular subtypes of breast invasive ductal carcinoma(IDC)and their relationship with ultrasound signs. Methods 125 female patients with IDC in the breast surgery ward were selected from December 2021 to June 2024.The positive expression rates of BRCA1 and Ki67 in the four molecular subtypes of IDC,namely Luminal A type,Luminal B type,HER-2 overexpression type, and tri ple-negative type, were statistically analyzed to explore the relationship between BRCA1 and Ki67 expression and ultrasound signs. Results The positive rate of BRCA1 and Ki67 were significantly different in Luminal A type,Luminal B type,HER-2 overexpression type and triple negative type(P<0.05).There was no significant difference of BRCA1 in tumor size, tumor morphology, calcification, posterior echo and blood flow classification(P>0.05),but lower expression in axillary lymph node metastasis(P<0.05).The expression of Ki67 was correlated with posterior echo, blood flow classification and axillary lymph node metastasis(P<0.05),but not with tumor size, tumor shape and calcification(P>0.05).BRCA1 and Ki67 expression is associated with the four molecular subtypes of invasive ductal carcinoma(C=0.232,P=0.0095).Conclusion BRCA1 was associated with axillary lymph node metastasis, and Ki67 was associated with posterior echo, blood flow grading and axillary lymph node metastasis.BRCA1 and Ki67 combined tests have good prognostic value for different molecular subtypes of IDC,and provide basis for non-surgical treatment, preoperative diagnosis and postoperative evaluation of breast cancer.
