Prevalence Characteristics of Infectious Diseases among Entry-exit Personnel at Xiamen Port from 2017 to 2022
Objective This study aimed to investigate the prevalence of the infectious diseases among entry-exit persons at Xiamen port from 2017 to 2022,and explore the distribution patterns and epidemic trends,and provide the basis for the monitoring and prevention of infectious diseases.Methods This study analyzed and investigated hepatitis B,syphilis,hepatitis C and AIDS infections including 39 168 entry-exit personnel at Xiamen port from 2017 to 2022.Results From 2017 to 2022,39 168 entry-exit personnel at Xiamen port were monitored,and a to-tal of 2 439 cases of infectious diseases were detected with a detection rate of 5.98%among which 2 092 cases were HBsAg positive,35 cases were hepatitis C antibody positive,197 cases were Treponema pallidum antibody positive,and 20 were HIV antibody positive.Different years and different sex in infectious disease detection rate were statis-tically significant(P<0.01 or P<0.05).The overall detection rate of infectious diseases in males(7.10%)was sig-nificantly higher than that in females(2.71%).Conclusion In order to improve the prevention and control of in-fectious diseases effectively,Xiamen port should focus on the monitoring of syphilis and hepatitis B,while also pay-ing attention to the diseases such as hepatitis C and HIV,which have shown a significant upward trend in recent years,as well as the male population over 40 years old,and carry out targeted publicity and education and behav-ioral intervention measures.
