Analysis on AIDS Sentinel Surveillance Results of Male Patients in STD Clinics in Taishan District of Tai'an City
Objective To analyze the AIDS sentinel surveillance results of male patients in STD clinics in Tais-han District,Tai'an City. Methods 1 200 male patients aged ≥16 years who visited the STD clinic in Taishan Dis-trict during the AIDS sentinel surveillance period from January 2021 to December 2023 were selected for this study.According to the Operation Manual of the National AIDS Sentinel Surveillance Program,a cross-sectional survey was conducted among male patients, followed by a questionnaire survey and blood sampling test,to analyze the dif-ferences in AIDS knowledge awareness, behavioral monitoring results, and virus antibody detection results between different years. Results According to the distribution of the awareness rate of AIDS related knowledge among the subjects in each year, the correct rate of the answers to"whether a person can be judged to suffer from AIDS from the appearance"and"whether AIDS can be transmitted through mosquito bites"was low(<80.00%),but there was no statistically significant difference between the years(P>0.05).In"whether the transmission of AIDS can be re-duced through the correct use of condoms"On the questions of"whether the child born by a woman with AIDS will suffer from AIDS"and"whether having sex with only one same/opposite sex can reduce the spread of AIDS",the correct rate of answers in each year showed an upward trend, and the awareness rate of AIDS disease knowledge also showed an upward trend in each year, with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05).From the distribution of high-risk behaviors among the research subjects in each year, except for"injecting drugs",the differences in other high-risk behaviors were statistically significant(P<0.05),and the proportion of"having sex with temporary sexual partners in the past three months"was the highest in each year. From the results of the study on syphilis anti-body testing in each year, there were statistically significant differences(P<0.05)in the HIV antibody positive rate and syphilis antibody positive rate, and the proportion of syphilis antibody positive was the highest in each year. Conclusion With the increase of years, the knowledge about AIDS among male STD outpatients has been improv-ing,but it is still weak in some aspects.Further education is needed, and the incidence of syphilis is high.Health education should be strengthened to promote such people to maintain a good private life for a long time,so as to re-duce the spread of AIDS.
