Metallogenic pedigree of regional mineral deposits in Qin-Qi-Kun metallogenic domain
The Qin-Qi-Kun metallogenic domain,trending nearly East-West,is located in the central part of the Chinese mainland.It is adjacent to the Paleo-Asian metallogenic domain to the north,to the Tarim Craton to the west,to the North China Block to the east and to the Tethyan metallogenic domain to the south.The complicated and long-term multi-block amalgamation and composite orogenic history of the southern and northern continental blocks in China has made the Qin-Qi-Kun region one of the most important orogenic system and metallogenic domain in China and even in East Asia.The Qin-Qi-Kun metallogenic domain is usually divided into three major metallogenic provinces from East to West:Qinling-Dabie,Qilian,and Kunlun.The Qin-Qi-Kun metallogenic domain has successively ex-perienced six major regional tectonic-metallogenic evolution cycles:The formation of the crystalline basement,the formation and evolution of the Qinkun Ocean,the formation and evolution of the Qinqi Ocean,the formation and evolution of the Paleo-Tethys Ocean,the superimposed reformation of the Circum Pacific Indosinian-Yanshanian,and the Tethyan-Himalayan periods.The Qinling-Dabie Metallogenic Province includes three metallogenic belts:① the northern Qinling Early Paleozoic and Mesozoic gold-copper-silver-antimony-molybdenum metallogenic belt,② the Tongbai-Dabie Proterozoic and Mesozoic gold-silver-lead-zinc-non-metallic metallogenic belt,③ the southern Qinling Late Paleozoic and Mesozoic lead-zinc-gold-silver-copper-nickel-iron-mercury-antimony-barite metallogenic belt.The Qilian metallogenic province is divided into four metallogenic belts:① the Corridor Paleozo-ic and Cenozoic iron-manganese-fluorite-salt metallogenic belt;② the northern Qilian Proterozoic and Paleozoic gold-copper-zinc-iron-chromium-lead-tungsten metallogenic belt;③ the southern Qilian Paleozoic copper-zinc-lead-silver-nickel-phosphorus metallogenic belt;④ the Lajishan Early Paleozoic copper-gold-nickel metallogenic belt.The Kunlun metallogenic province is divided into six metallogenic belts:① the Qaidam Cenozoic lithium-bo-ron-potassium salt-sodium salt-magnesium salt-mirabilite-gypsum-trona halide(aqueous)metallogenic belt;② the Altun Early Paleozoic copper-gold-asbestos metallogenic belt;③ the eastern Kunlun Precambrian,late Paleozoic and Mesozoic gold-copper-lead-zinc-iron metallogenic belt;④ the Gonggeer Precambrian and late Paleozoic gold-copper-lead-zinc-jewelry stone metallogenic belt;⑤ the Taxkorgan Precambrian and Late Paleozoic gold-copper metallogenic belt;⑥ the Karakorum Mesozoic copper-lead-zinc-gold metallogenic belt.Overall,the regional metallogenesis of the Qin-Qi-Kun metallogenic domain is transitional.The Caledonian and Variscan cycles are the peak periods of the regional metallogenesis in the metallogenic domain,and the Yanshanian metallogenic cycle mainly occurrs in the Qinling-Dabie metallogenic Province.
