Survey research is the practical path to adapt Marxism to the Chinese context,while the a-daption of Marxism is the theoretical precursor of conducting survey research,and the two constitute a two-way interactive relationship that is complementary and mutually reinforced.To accurately acknowledge this relationship,we need to fully understand the internal logic of adapting Marxism to the Chinese con-text through investigation and research,and recognise that investigation and research is the"starting point","central line"and"power source"of adapting Marxism to the Chinese context;at the same time,we also need to understand that investigation and research is the"starting point","central line"and"power source"of the adaption of Marxism.Equally,we should strive to build up a practical mode to adapt Marxism to China's conditions,and clarify the importance of research in the new era.
