A Quantitative Analysis of the Pronunciation Level of Zang and Yi students'National Common Language
It is the main task for ethnic schools to strengthen the teaching of national common language and increasingly improve the national common language level of ethnic students in order to adapt the new development stage of our country.Based on the sampling survey and quantitative analysis of their mis-takes in the pronunciation, the tone changes and the rhythm of Zang and Yi students from 15 primary and secondary schools in city and rural area of Sichuan and Yunnan provinces, the author believes that the students in areas with the ethnic minority have certain ability to use national common language, and their language levels have the obvious regional and inter-ethnic characteristics.Meanwhile, their pronuncia-tion,intonation and rhythm are different because of the distinction of students'grades and schools in ur-ban and rural areas. To improve their pronunciation levels of the national common language,on one hand,we should pay attention to the continuity and comprehensiveness of pronunciation teaching in dif-ferent learning stages. And we should not only attach the importance to the teaching and learning in basic knowledge of pronunciation, but the ability training for communication, which is high level training such as the training in sound change and the rhythm. On the other hand,it is necessary to strengthen the culti-vation of the ability to use the national common language of Zang students, especially the students in re-mote and rural area,to narrow the regional gap.We found that formulating a reasonable language assess-ment plan can effectively stimulate ethnic students out of the internal needs to learn the national common language.
