Based on historical relics,this article points out that the folk dance of the Zang in Kham is mainly presented in the form of the circle for different reasons.The Circle dance is the relics of the old and common forms of the dance composition by ancient ancestors of Zang people.This dance had devel-oped due to the need of emotional communication and social orders;it was effect of the geographical envi-ronment and the means of existence as well.And circle dance is not only the result of multi-ethnic cultur-al exchange and integration,but also the embodiment of the aesthetic inclination of"circle"rooted in the traditional culture,which reflects the religious belief and ethnic characteristics of the Zang people.
