Notes Convey Emotion Ma Si-cong's Creative Experience and Communicative Effect of Tone Poem in Xizang in the Period of the Republic of China
Multi-ethnic cultural exchanges and dissemination are the prerequisites for the formation of elements and symbols of Chinese culture with a certain universal value.In 1941,the famous violin music composer and performer Ma Si-cong used the description of swordsmen of Xizang on part of the docu-mentary of"Tour in Xizang",folk songs of Zang people and English books circulating in the mainland.And he used the violin,a musical instrument in western world,to compose a world-famous masterpiece of Tone Poem in Xizang,expressed the spirit of the Zang people.Since then,"Tone Poem in Xizang"has been played all over the country,recorded into records,organized into books for publication,attrac-ted the fan's attention and praised by the intellectuals and kept the favorite program in its performance of China National Symphony Orchestra.Tone Poem in Xizang by Ma Si-cong is a cultural carrier for the communication and development of music between the Han and Zang people.It is not only Ma Si-cong's personal masterpiece,but also gradually became a classic of Chinese culture,which has strengthened the recognition of Chinese culture by the people of all ethnic groups.Accordingly,a series of real cases of the exchange of cultural celebrities between Xizang and the mainland should be explored,sorted and publicized to increasingly promote the study of creating a strong sense of community for the Chinese na-tion.
