As an important water recharge ecological function area in the upper reaches of the Yellow River,the Gannan region represents the core area of Ando culture of Zang people.Conducting the re-search on the sustainable governance mechanism of rural communities in this area is of great significance for the revitalization of rural areas and for the unity and long-term stability of ethnic areas.Based on the analysis framework of socio-ecological system,this paper extends this framework with the special cultur-al background of the Gannan region of Zang people and proposes a"five elements"analysis framework of resource system,resource unit,governance system,cultural system and users,which is adapted to the rural socio-ecological system here.These"five elements"are proposed,and are divided into the sec-ondary indicators of the framework to sort out the governance history of rural social-ecological systems in Gannan areas.
