Anthropological Investigation on the"Flowers Scattering"Ceremony of Yao People in Lanshan
The Lanshan Yao people hold"flower scattering"rituals to remove or restore their"identity"in order to maintain the normal psychological order. From the three dimensions of the ritual space, the ritual language and the ritual symbol,It can be found that:the flow of representational space and the breaking of threshold space are to make participants believe that Chinese gods or goddess is present and realize the transformation of"identity";Ritual language can activate participants'meditation switch and evoke their"mental flexibility";The ritual symbol realizes its therapeutic function by interpreting the meaning of the"native"symbol and performing the operational meaning of the symbol. It is worth men-tioning that, unlike other healing rituals, the flower scattering ceremony also has the meaning of the tran-sition of life, which is a ceremony held with the change of age and state of the threshold person, and re-flects the life process of the person in its unique way.
