Reflection on the Inheritance and Development of Karma Karze's Thangka——A Case Study of Yanden Tsering,the Inheritor of Intangible Cultural Heritage
The Thangka of the Karma Karze's painting school is one of the unique ethnic cultural forms of the Zang people,which has run through the whole history of Zang people's development.However,because of the network information development in the modern era,the living environment of intangible cultural heritage is deteriorating day by day,and the ethnic culture is facing unprecedented challenges.It is urgent to record the oral history of the important inheritor,,and protect precious and intangible herit-age.This article is based on an oral history interview with Yanden Tsering,a national intangible cultural heritage inheritor of the Karma Karze's painting school,to study Yanden Tsering and his Thangka art,explain the current survival status of the Karma Karze's Thangka,and explore its cultural context of the history.Key measures to protect the Thangka art of the Karma Karze's painting school are proposed:in-heriting cultural classics,innovating and developing timely,and cultivating relevant talents.
