Virtual reality(VR)technology,with its immersive capabilities,stands at the forefront of educational innovation,,can help promote the smooth digital transformation and transformation of ideo-logical and political education,and better implement the fundamental task of cultivating morality and tal-ents.The empowerment of ideological and political education by virtual reality technology brings about subject interaction,content optimization,and field extension,but also brings many new risks and chal-lenges,such as value cognition bias and inadequate institutional guarantees.From this vantage point,the paper delineates a targeted developmental trajectory for leveraging VR in university IPE.The goal is to bolster the efficacy of IPE within higher education institutions and to offer a blueprint for navigating the digital and transformative shifts occurring within the field.By harnessing the power of VR,we can ad-dress these challenges and foster a more dynamic and effective approach to IPE,ensuring that it remains relevant and impactful in the digital age.
