The challenges posed by the digital revolution to international trade have far exceeded the scope of digital trade.Digital trade not only fails to fully capture the comprehensive impact of digital technology on international trade, but also misleads people's understanding of open economics in the digital economy era.The core viewpoints of this paper are as follows:Firstly, openness is the essential characteristic of the digital economy era,and the digital economy should be viewed from the perspective of open economics.Secondly,in terms of the discipline system, the digital technology revolution will not only bring about digital trade in the forms of digital delivery and digital ordering, but also bring about new products, production factors, and production technologies, thereby reshaping the international division of labor patterns, dynamic mechanisms, and benefit distribution effects.Thirdly,in terms of research methods, for most researchers, the era of big data does not mean a"sea of data"but a"desert of data".Faced with the rich cases emerging from the process of technological, economic, and social transformation,we should strengthen the ability of theoretical thinking in economics rather than blindly learning big data analysis methods in a"one-size-fits-all"manner.
