The Era Significance of Building a New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor—From the Perspective of Optimizing the Regional Opening-up Layout
Currently,the scale of global trade is continuously expanding,and cooperation fields are continually broadening.Under the traditional model of"opening-up to the east",China faces issues such as inadequate and unbalanced regional opening-up layouts,a low overall level of openness to the outside world in inland areas,and weak support capabilities of platforms and channels,which severely constrain economic and trade cooperation with countries along the"Silk Road Economic Belt".In this context,guided by the"Belt and Road"Initiative,integrating westward into the global market and reshaping the space for opening-up to the outside world by opening-up a new international land-sea trade corridor is an inevitable requirement for China in the new era to strengthen infrastructure construction,promote industrial collaborative development,and deepen international cooperation.It is also an important proposition for China to deeply integrate into the global market and achieve a high level of opening-up to the outside world.To optimize the regional opening-up layout with the new land-sea corridor,it is necessary to innovate international regional cooperation mechanisms and continuously enhance the resilience of the western regions in opening-up to the outside world;accelerate the expansion of new spaces for trade corridors and build a new international logistics system centered on"multi-port linkage and multimodal transportation"involving cross-border railways,highways and waterways;create digital corridors and accelerate the digital transformation and efficient collaborative development of the new western land-sea corridor,forming a new pattern of coordinated regional development featuring complementary advantages and mutual benefit and win-win results.
