Research on the Coupled and Coordinated Development of Digital Rural Construction and Rural Revitalization
The construction of digital rural areas serves as a breakthrough and new engine for eliminating the bot-tleneck in rural development and it is of great significance for comprehensively promoting rural revitalization and build-ing a digital China. This study utilizes panel data from 31 provinces in China from 2011 to 2021,establishes a system-atic theoretical framework and a multi-dimensional evaluation index system, and applies the method of time-series principal component analysis and a coupling coordination model to assess the comprehensive development level of dig-ital rural construction and rural revitalization,as well as the temporal and spatial differences in their coupling coordi-nation.The results indicate that the development index and coupling coordination degree of digital villages and rural revitalization show a steady growth trend, with the overall coordination status transitioning from a moderate imbalance to a moderate coordination.Regional heterogeneity continues to expand, resulting in a spatial pattern where the east-ern and central regions are significantly ahead, while the western and northeastern regions lag behind.Provinces with high development indices demonstrate significant spillover effects, fast growth rates, and high levels of coupling coor-dination.Conversely,underdeveloped regions exhibit insufficient linkage effects, significant intra-group differences, and low levels of coupling coordination. Therefore,it is crucial to recognize spatial heterogeneity and promote high-quality coordinated development of digital rural construction and rural revitalization based on local conditions.
