Analysis on Spatial Distribution Characteristics and Driving Factors of New Urbanization Level in Chinese Counties
This paper constructs a comprehensive evaluation index system for the development level of new ur-banization in the counties from the three dimensions of economy, population and society.Based on the cross-section-al data of 1 593 counties(cities)in 2020,the entropy method is used to calculate the level of new urbanization in the counties, and its spatial distribution characteristics and three-dimensional relationship mode are analyzed through ex-ploratory data analysis and triangular model. Finally, the driving factors of new urbanization are analyzed using geo-graphical detectors. The results show that:the new urbanization in China's counties is characterized by high in the east and low in the west, and there is a positive spatial correlation. The county economy urbanization, population ur-banization and social urbanization in the eastern regions are in a relatively coordinated development state, while the county economy urbanization in the central and western regions lags behind the population urbanization and social ur-banization.The balance of residents'savings, the number of industrial enterprises, the number of fixed telephone us-ers and the number of ordinary middle school students are the main driving factors for the development of new urbani-zation in the counties, and the interaction of any two driving factors is greater than a single factor.Based on this, this paper proposes that we should improve the infrastructure system, increase the supply of educational resources, and promote industrial optimization and upgrading to promote the development of new urbanization in the counties.
