Research on Carbon Emission Reduction Effect of Green Credit Development in the Yellow River Basin from the Spatial Perspective
This paper selects 99 prefecture-level cities in nine provincial-level regions in the Yellow River Ba-sin from 2011 to 2021 as research samples, uses the spatial Durbin model with two-way fixed effects to investigate the spatial spillover effect of carbon emission reduction supported by green credit, and analyzes"crowding-in effect"and"crowding-out effects"between various green financial instruments by combining the dynamic panel data model. The studies found that:there is significant spatial correlation in carbon emissions among provincial-level regions in the Yellow River Basin;green credit development in the Yellow River Basin has significant"local and neighboring"carbon emission reduction effects;there is a"crowding-in"effect among various green financial instruments.Based on these conclusions, corresponding suggestions are made:effectively promoting the steady improvement of the overall green credit development in the Yellow River Basin;establishing a coordinated mechanism for regional green credit to promote carbon emission reduction in the Yellow River Basin to guide various green financial instruments to jointly ex-ert carbon emission reduction effects.
