The Impact of Digital New Infrastructure on High-quality Development in the Yangtze River Economic Belt
Accelerating digital new infrastructure(DNI)in the new era is the inevitable path to promote the de-velopment of digital economy,achieve the integration of primary,secondary and tertiary industries and high-quality development.Based on the analysis of the mechanism of DNI promoting high-quality development,this paper uses the inter-provincial panel data of the Yangtze River Economic Belt(YREB)from 2003 to 2021 to construct a high-quality development evaluation system to measure the high-quality development index of each province(city),and employs a spatial econometric model to quantitatively analyze the impact of DNI on high-quality development.Ac-cording to the study,DNI plays a positive role in promoting the high-quality development level of the YREB,benefi-ting not only the local high-quality development,but also radiating and driving the development in the surrounding areas.Different types of DNI have different impacts on the high-quality development of the YREB.Information infra-structure and innovation infrastructure have significant positive effects on high-quality development,but the impact of integrated infrastructure on high-quality development is not significant.There are regional differences in the effect of DNI on the high-quality development in the YREB.The DNI in the middle and lower reaches positively affects the high-quality development of the local and surrounding areas,but it has a limited driving effect on the surrounding ar-eas in the upstream region.Therefore,we should continue to increase investment,accelerate the DNI development,steadily develop integrated infrastructure,focus on promoting information infrastructure and innovation infrastructure,optimize the spatial layout of digital new infrastructure,and promote coordinated regional development.
