Expansion-Induced"Involution"and Mismatch:Analysis of the Trends and Countermeasures of Employment for College Graduates
Promoting the development of higher education, enhancing the level of talent supply, improving the quality of employment, and alleviating structural employment contradictions are the basic and core guarantees for ac-celerating the development of new quality productive forces. In the new stage of development, based on analysis of da-ta of students at various levels of higher education and the current employment status of college graduates,it is found that the supply of higher education talents is expanding on a large scale, and the"involution"in seeking education and employment has emerged among college graduates,as well as there is a practical contradiction between the mis-match of talent supply and the job market.Examining the causes of these issues, there is a mismatch between the goals of talent cultivation in colleges and universities and the demands for talent resources in the job market. These problems stem from three main factors:the disembedding and lag of higher education under the background of indus-trial structural transformation, the shifting and evolving attitudes towards education and employment among students under external environmental impacts, and the mismatch and imbalance of talent cultivation in colleges and universi-ties from the perspective of the labor market. Therefore,it is necessary to establish a synergistic development system that adapts both to higher education and the job market, focusing on the demand side of the job market to determine the direction of talent cultivation.By taking higher education talent cultivation as the goal and promoting the balance of talent supply, the quality of higher education in its scale development can be further enhanced, rational optimiza-tion of employment structure can be facilitated,to ensure high-quality and full employment.
