Ophiopogonin D is steroid saponins extracted from the Chinese herb Ophiopogonis Radix,and has a wide range of pharmacological effects such as anti-inflammation,anti-tumor,lipid lowering,myocardial protection,neuroprotection,gastrointestinal protection,and regulation of bone metabolism.In this article,researches on the pharma-cological effects of ophiopogonin D conducted in recent years are reviewed and analyzed,to provide reference for its further development.
