In 2021,the Shaanxi Academy of Archaeology identified that the Jiangliu site is a large settlement associated with the Late Yangshao period.A large number of subterranean cellars, pottery kilns, urn burials, and other archaeological remains were found from the site;most of them were dated to the Late Yangshao period. This excavation has identified the south boundary of the site, and confirmed preliminarily the storage area and pottery production area. The discoveries provide new data for discussing the developmental stages and settlement layout of the Yangshao culture in the Jinghe river basin.
