Dongganhe site is located in Dongganhe Village,Xinglong Street,Xi'an City,Shaanxi Province.In 2022,the Shaanxi Academy of Archaeology conducted an archaeological excavation at the site and identified archaeological remains dating to the Late Yangshao era and Shang Dynasty.A total of 25 excavated archaeological features belonging to the Shang period include primarily ash pits,wells and pottery kilns,from which rich contemporary artifacts were unearthed.This site is a newly discovered settlement related to the Shang Culture in the northern foothill of the Qinling Mountains to the south of Xi'an,which provides new information for understanding and exploring the distribution of settlements and cultural features of the Shang period in this area.
